The unit has a broken upper ice tray. No way can we get a replacement in Hawaii. We tried to fix but it kept breaking. No other Refrig has done that. The bottom ice maker in freezer kept melting the cubes in the ice tray.

Buyer Beware looks great did not last

Bought beautiful stainless steel French door LG Tinq fridge May 2022. Loved the sleek design WiFi connectivity. The ice maker worked great and the until was easy to glean on October 2023 the unit stopped working/keeping temperature. After contacting LG they sent 4 seperate repair technician to confirm it is a know issue with the seals unit/compressor. As I had a warranty they offered to replace the unit. I have been without a working fridge to a month and while I have a confirmation for replacement there has been no new fridge. I am very disappointed great product lousy service. Machines break however the measure of the value of the product is tied to the replacement/repair service. So if you Want to gamble then go aheadgreat product low quality and service. I guess I will call lg again

Not impressed baught the refrigerator in September here we are November and the freezer works great the refrigerator isnt working properly have had a lot of spoiled food and drinks. There is little remarkable and the product is average. The top ice maker seems to leak in warm air and often the ice melts enough to clump up and get stuck requiring me to open the door and break it up to get it working again. Fortunately the bottom drawer ice maker pumps out ice in abundance. The bottom of the refrigerator doors are poorly designed with the bottom shelves not lifted so that the meat and cheese drawer can open underneath them an important consideration when the unit is against a wall and one of the doors cannot open all the way. The bottom drawer of the fridge is too shapplow and the clear front cover does not lift up making it very difficult to get at things in the back of the drawer. The materials feel light and cheap but so do most fridges now. Hopefully the unit will last and reliability will be a selling point.

Great Product We have had our LG French door refrigerator/freezer for a year and have REALLY liked it. Its so easy to maneuver finding things due to the space shelves drawers and the controlled cooling with no areas that freeze the lettuce etc. Fantastic product I would highly recommend it to anyone and would purchase it myself again. The look of the refrigerator is great I have really enjoyed the French doors and the pull out freezer with the ice cube bucket. Its much better than our old side by side. However we have had several problems with our ice maker since we first bought the refrigerator. This week the compressor went out in the entire unit. Thankfully covered under the 5 year warranty but disappointed that a 3 year old refrigerator has already have 4 maintenance calls.

Chemical taste from water and ice dispenser

The water and ice dispensed from the refrigerator taste like disgusting chemicals. The city tap water from our kitchen faucet has a mild chlorine taste but not like the chemicals tasted from the refrigerator. We replaced the water filter multiple times this did not resolve the issue. When my husband examined the used water filter there is no indication that water is going through the filter i.e. not water drops at the connection site in the refrigerator nor when you shake the filter.

So much to like about me new fridge. Most important to me I love having the freezer on the bottom. no more bending upside down to see whats in there or to clean. The water in the door is new to me too. We already have a filter for our well water yet the water from the fridge still tastes better than the tap. Also the finger proof stainless steel is much easier to clean than expected.

Horrible experience and the worst costumer service. Basically they fixed nothing and were just sending part to my address. The technician was irresponsible and the whole thing was just a one disappointment after another. They say wait for the technician between 8-12 he never shows up and no one informs you that hell not be there.

Love the dual ice maker however.

Installed in February 2021 and I loved this refrigerator especially the dual ice makers for several years. Unfortunately in September 2023 the unit stopped cooling. The repair man from LG did all he could on several visits changing out the compressor evaporator and who knows what but by November after many attempts no use. LG is replacing the unit but not entirely without $$ from me and a wait time of 3 weeks. I also had to choose a different model due to almost a $1300.00 price difference with the same model. Thank goodness I kept my OLD fridge in the garage. All of my appliances are LG so I hope this was just an anomaly.

Good but missing actual temperature on display

Weve had this for about 3 months. Works well. Nice features. Missing one and very important thing. It does not display actual internal temperature. Nor does it tell you the internal temperature on the app.

Love the Thinq

Bought 3 weeks ago and finally hooked up ice maker. So far its the perfect fridge for our family. Only drawback is shelves dont adjust much so needed to remove a shelf for taller items we didnt want in the door. But plenty of room.

Overpriced and faulty

Wouldnt buy again. Good size and lay out. Purchased in 2021. Within a year. The wheels on the freezer drawer broke and the frame cracked. It was under warranty so replaced by ABT. In Sept of 2023 the compressor went on and I lost a whole fridge and freezer full of food. Thankfully I purchased the extended warranty and LG replaced the compressor. They offered $250 compensation for food loss. At todays prices that didnt cover half of my loss.

We had our refrigerator for 27 months and it was great until we had to have service. Six weeks later we still didnt have a working refrigerator Approx. $291 for ice 5 service trips 2 different technicians it still is not working. They ordered 2 compressors 1 condenser and 1 circuit board and still didnt fix it. Finally they agreed to replace it. My complaint is that you cannot reach anyone with authority only customer service reps. They did pay for lost food but not for the ice. I felt like we were camping having to use ice coolers to store refrigerated foods condiments etc. But they wouldnt pay for the ice to keep the food cold. Who do they think had to pay for the ice? I feel six weeks is too long of a time to be out of a refrigerator. It should have been handled in a more timely manner. You could not reach a human person by phone only by email or a customer service rep with not authority even though they were nice enough just could not help.

I bought a floor model with a dent to save some money because I am on a limited income. The freezer did not seal and it looked like it had snowed daily. Last night the right door fell off. So far I am not impressed.

Broken- Right out of the box

Bought this frig over a year ago while waiting for our new home to be built. Finally got to put it in the house in 10/23 only to discover the water and ice feature do not work. Called local repair person who told us that he was not able to repair it for the following reasons: its a bad board but he didnt know which one even if he knew he couldnt get the part b/c the frig is so new the parts arent in stock yet the part is quite pricey and there was no way to get to where the new part goes unless he busted up the face of the frig. Wow. While we understand the frig was out of warranty we believe b/c it was brand new it should work right out of the box. Sad but true we own several other LG products but will be replacing them with another brand when the time comes. We cannot recommend this appliance at all.

I bought my new LG refrigerator in August and the MAIN reason I chose the model was the water ice maker in the door. Now 3 months later and both water ice STILL have an aftertaste. Ive flushed gallons of water and discarded all the ice cubes but its still not drinkable. My prior refrigerator had water also and I had no problem with the taste so its not my pipes from the house. Ive called LG customer service and they said to contact Lowes but Lowes said to have LG send repair out since its under warranty. Someone needs to either fix it or replace the refrigerator.

Enjoy the double ice maker

Three months after purchasing the refrigerator the freezer and icemakers quite working. Lost all the food in the freezer because we werent home when it quite working. LG repair person had to replace the entire computer board.

Just a blink and its all good

Bought this in Oct 2021 and its worked for us. There was a problem with the filter lights blinking after we installed new filters and would not shut off. Called warranty and they said there was no one in the area to fix it so they refunded us the money we spent on it. Free refrigerator as I see it. Electrical tape over the icons and is good as new for me.

Caution LG white powder issues

It has been almost a full year having this refrigerator. The issue here is the water/ice dispenser in the door having a vinegar smelling powdery residue. We change the filter regularly and through research have found this is a common LG issue. No solution however the vinegar smell suggests this is a refrigerant leak. Contacted LG who set a ticket and never sent anyone over. Very disappointing as we buy full appliance sets every 2-3 years. Will be switching to another brand.

We have had this refrigerator for two months and couldnt be happier. The freezer on the bottom makes lots more room in the refrigerator which is what we use the most. The french doors work well with the set up of our kitchen. Love the ice maker and the semi round ice cubes. The door handles are large and easy to access. All around just what I wanted

Fridge went bad after less than TWO YEARS

I bought this refrigerator two years ago and am now dealing with constant leaking under the freezer and it is damaging my hardwood floors. LG refuses to send a technician out and now I am left with no solution to the problem. I do not recommend purchasing this fridge.

Not happy with this refrigerator

The refrigerator has had several problems in the 2.5 years we have owned it. First the in-door ice maker stopped working within the first 6 months. Then the freezer door stopped opening all the way. Then the air filter cover inside the fridge broke and wont stay in place - then plastic was too flimsy and when I tried to put it back on after changing the filter the int piece of flimsy plastic that holds it in place snapped off.

Not as good as my prior LG Refrigerator

This refrigerator was delivered in April and 4 weeks ago the right door bin broke in half I requested a replacement but to date have not received anything This refrigerator is also not as user friendly nor does it have sufficient shelf adjustability as my prior LG Refrigerator. Overall Im disappointed.
