An overpriced, UNRELIABLE appliance

Since my first review was 'moderated' stating it 'directs businees away' I will try again here. But FWIW, I thought a review was supposed to be subjective. After all it is MY OPINION based upon MY EXPERIENCE with this over. Purchased this brand new in 2012. I have had numerous service calls, all for the same problem, throwing a code F15 and then locking up the oven totally. On several occasions (including Thanksgiving, which went over really great with the family) this happened. So far we have replaced the display board THREE times. Just put another one in in July 2018 to the tune of another $350 and it didn't fix the problem (still,again?) When I complained about this same part going bad to Electrolux , their response was 'buy an extended warranty'. Now THAT is customer support! Now the repair tech, who called Electrolux tech support says I need to replace a $1300 dollar ribbon board or ribbon strip .... something to do with the touch pad display. Emailed Electrolux support on this and waiting for a response.

Poor Quality Oven

I purchased my Electrolux oven 3 1/2 years ago from an independant retailer. Everything was great for 3 years until my top oven stopped heating. After two repairmen came to inspect and "fix" my oven, it was determined that the oven had literally burned a hole through the base of the top oven. Heat would escape through the hole and never keep the top oven hot. After raising this issue to Electrolux, they only informed me that I was out of warranty and needed to replace the oven myself. I didnt realize that I would be spending $1000 a year to lease an oven! I would recommend that you try a different brand with higher quality products and customer service.

This double oven is a a dream to use: multi-functional, intuitive and simply gorgeous. High end finishes and professional functions makes baking/roasting/broiling a breeze. I love the rapid pre-heat option! My only complaint is that while it's a "stainless steel" finish, it's not steel at all--doesn't pass the magnet test!

Defective elements

The stylish look and the over the top features had me at "hello".  However, the durability and quality and design have left me less than impressed.  I had the double oven for about two years when the elements on the bottom of the lower oven just stopped working.  It is an enclosed element which makes it even more difficult for repair.  Of course the one year warranty is up, so after spending $3,000 I have one oven that looks like two ovens until I can find a repairman willing to completely remove the entire extremely heavy unit out of the cabinetry to get to the lower enclosed elements.  If you are willing to spend $3,000, my advice is buy the extended warranty or don't buy this at all.  Hope my other Electrolux appliances hold up.

My "Perfect Turkey Oven"

When I was on the search for the perfect oven I kept coming back to this one. I would talk to my friends about this perfect turkey oven with the perfect turkey button. They would all laugh at me and think I was joking. As a nurse I work most holidays, so my "family" meals usually involve my friends and co-workers. For Easter I offered to bring in a turkey and everyone was amazed at how truly "perfect" it was moist, and juicy. It is hard to believe that all I had to do was put it in the oven and push that perfect turkey button. It is not that I often make turkey, and that is not the only think I love about this oven. My favorite feature is the gliding racks. I have not seen this feature on any other oven and perhaps that was the biggest selling point for me. I like to check my food often and I am able to do so with ease. I just love, love, love this oven!!!

I was excited about my new ovens.  My excitement turned to sorrow when I cleaned the oven.  You have taken a big step backward.  I had an easy to clean oven  I used the cleaning about 2 times a month and my oven was always clean.  We were given the option to take the racks out or to have them discolor if left in during cleaning.  I chose to leave them in because then I knew they were clean.  Now for cleaning my new ovens.  The oven bottom, ceiling, and sides come very clean.  The dirty racks are on the outside with no place to scrub them.  I have no place large enough to soak or scrub them.  Must I put the dirty racks back in my clean oven?  The racks will continue to get dirtier as time goes on.  Have you an answer for the dirty racks?  I hope you can supply me with an answer and then improve your next models.I purchased this oven because there was a fire.  This is the only model that fit in the cabinet hole

I've had the oven installed for about 4 weeks now, so far so good. The first time I turned it on, the front exhaust fan made a strange noise. We called a repair man, and he replaced the fan. No more noises! Cooking temperature is very accurate. The easy glide racks are a wonderful asset.

This is my third set of double ovens in 39 years in our house. These are by far superior to any we have had before in ease of use, features, and baking. They are fun to use. Our three daughters have all commented on how wonderful they are, and how much they enjoy using them. Went with Electrolux because we have a new front loading electroluxj washer and dryer which we love...what great appliances.

A Pleasure to use, but some design problems.

My wife and I enjoy using our oven. Having two ovens (and two timers!) makes holiday cooking a breeze.Some design considerations:1. My oven came with a screw to hold up the broil element missing (it is still missing), perhaps some thread locking material or better quality control would improve things.2. DO NOT CLEAN BOTH OVENS back to back. Last Thanksgiving DAY I made the mistake of cleaning the lower oven followed by cleaning the upper oven. Of course, the oven ceased to work part way through the second oven cleaning. After some research, I was pleased to find out that it was merely an overtemperature breaker that had tripped inside the oven. The bad news was that I had to completely REMOVE THE OVEN to get to the rear panel. I then had to open the panel to get to the reset button for the overtemp breaker. There must be better way than removing the oven to reset this breaker.Other than that, the oven is performing as expected.
