after 6 yrs I should expect to have to replace an appliance of any kind or brand since the quality of parts has so deminished in recent years. This is no exception with this model. The water fills in but there is no rotation of the spray arms. Evidently the motor is shot. Off to buy another brand

Terrible diswasher

I bought this dishwasher 2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. The pump was replaced within the first couple months, the electronics go crazy on a regular basis and then will reset after a few days, the washing isn't great either. The only good thing about this unit is how quiet it is. I will be replacing it with a much less expensive, and hopefully more reliable, dishwasher. I purchased an electrolux refrigerator at the same time and I've had the ice maker worked on 3 times. I will never purchase or recommend an Electrolux brand appliance again. Big expensive mistake!

Quiet as a Mouse dishwasher

The first time my Electolux dishwasher ran, I thought it was broken.  It is so quiet that it is almost impossible to hear.  This is fantastic when considering a lot of houses are built in an open concept.  It has a sleek design that can go in any type house.The controls are hidden if you have children that like to push buttons.  The dishes come out spotless.  It has several settings to choose from.  I especially like the delay button.Would I purchase this product again?  Yes! It is well worth it!

We purchased this dishwasher from Lowe's in March of 2010. It was wet inside right out of the box. It has never adequately cleaned the dishes. We have had several service calls on the applicance to no avail. We had a much cheaper (cost) dishwasher that was fantastic. During a kitchen remodel, we sought a quieter dishwasher that matched our new kitchen design.I would never recommend an Electrolux dishwasher to anyone. Overall, this has been the worst appliance purchase we have ever made.

I purchased this expensive dishwasher expecting top quality. I have had nothing but problem after problem. This is the most expensive dishwasher I have ever purchased and by far the worst.It's very quiet because it won't run.

Disappointing Dishwasher!

Purchase this dishwasher brand because I was so pleased with the performance of our Electrolux Washer and Dryer. Unfortunately the dishwasher has been a big dissapointment! Upper was arm, repeatedly gets stuck in a single position, leaving glassware dirty. At time, I have to stop the machine during a cycle and manually mover the spinner arm. Multiple runs are required for proper cleaning. Currently we are waiting on replacement parts that have been on back order for weeks! Plates must be rinsed and wiped clean of any dried on food, as the machine will not remove them. Would never purchase another Electrolux Dishwasher Again! I would NOT reccomend this product!

My Dishwasher is 2 yrs old. It worked fine for 20 months then the electronics started to act up, it stopped in the middle of the cycle and would not start again after resetting and disconnecting. I let it sit overnight then it worked fine for a month or so and then stopped again. It does this routinely now, it works for a period of time then stops in the middle of the cycle. I have hesitated to call a repair service because I never know when it is going to act up. All the indicator lights blink when this happens. The washer stops at different points in the cycle usually before the final rinse and drying so the dishes have to removed and washed by hand but it has also stopped before adding the second detergent. I also purchased a washer and dryer at the same time and they work fine. The washer stopped once and I could not unlock the door but after unplugging it the door released and I restarted the cycle.

My Electrolux dishwasher has llived up to all the reasons I purchased it. It is so very quiet and adjustable racks accomodate even large bowls and pans, it does as super job cleaning, even delicate things like wine glasses. Another reason I bought this dishwasher is the leak detection system which is especially important if one has a hardwood kitchen floor as I do. Electrolux should advertise this feature more as many homes now have hardwood kitchen floors

Perfect, good looking appliance for my kitchen. So quiet my kids have opened the door while its running from the lack of noise. I never have to rerun any of the dishes, or pots that I load, even heavily soiled items come out clean on a normal cycle. Wish all of my appliances worked so well. thank you!

Good product but not exceptional

The fit & form of the product is very nice. Also, it is very quiet. Ironically this creates a bit of a problem as there is no outward indicator that it is busy or finished so it gets opened frequently when working. This is not a big issue but disconcerting. I understand that ensuing models have such an indicator. Quite actually, I thought our model had this but alas--not. At the end of the day a dishwashers job is to clean dishes and while this model does a reasonable job it is not exceptional and we do suspect that many cheaper models may do as well on this measure. I cannot say I am disappointed with it but not really impressed either. It has a very well designed racking setup. In short we feel that performance could be a better and wish it had the noted in-process external indicator.

This is by far the quietest dishwasher that I have ever owned. I didn't realize how spoiled I have become with the quiet until I heard my old dishwasher at my neighbor's house. The only noise you can hear - is when it drains into my garbage disposal. When I got a new garbage disposal drain cover - it is even more quiet.

Very Quiet, Washes Poorly

This is a very quiet dishwasher however it is very poor at washing dishes. Also rather hard to get odd size items and such as pie pans cookie sheets and bowls. Had to change over from using powdered soaps to liquid soaps. Most of the time powdered soaps would not dissolve from the soap dispenser, this is sometimes even a problem with liquid soaps as wells. Dishes must be pre-cleaned before loading them in dishwasher. I believe the overall problem is probably low water pressure from the water pump in the dishwasher. I believe it is designed this way on purpose so to make it a very quiet machine while it is running. As far as it being a quiet machine it is very quiet, you have to be standing next to it to hear it run. All in all I would rather it be a little bit noisier and capable of washing my dishes more thoroughly. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate it a number 4.

I love this dishwasher. I usually pre rinse food off, but don't always so I was impressed that when I didn't remember that it wasn't necessary.This is the quietest dishwasher. I have to check to see if it came on. I can barely hear the water come in.This model has so many bells and whistles I haven't even tried, but I love how clean it gets the dishes and pans even on normal cycle. I love being able to fold down the dividers to make room for larger items. I drink wine everyday and don't have to do them separately now. I just add them to the top and fold down the stemware holder. I usually put my large chef knives on top so protect the knife. I have even been able to put my heavier plastic bowls up against one of the edges of the bottom rack without any problems. (I'm not reccomending this- just commenting).I do wish it had a dish warmer or extra dry cycle, because most of my plastic items in the top do not dry completely .I also cook a lot for for (12-20) at least once a month and I would love to be able to prewarm the plates. I understand the drying problem is common for the models that don't have the exposed heating element.( mine doesn't). this includes all brands per my retail store salesperson.

We Love our Electrolux Dishwasher. With open concept design in home building it is nearly impossible to sit in the living room and watch T.V. with other dishwashers running... With the Electrolux EIDW6105 you never een know it is on. The racks are Heavy duty not like any other models we looked at and we really love the cleanlyness of our dishes. Thanks Electrolux!!

Broke down 3 times in less then 2 years.

We did not encounter any problems the first 7 months, on the 8th month the pump stopped working and all the lights stayed on so you couldn't use it. A few months after that we noticed the delay start wasn't working, that got fixed. Now here it is 11 months later and the pump is out again. For the amount of money you pay for these products I would expect to get at least 5 yrs of use before encounter ANY problems, but I guess I expect too much.
